Double Happiness 囍

The symbol of "Double Happiness" is something that cannot be missed during a Chinese wedding - whether it may be a traditional one or among those which have a more contemporary set-up. The symbol, which is composed of two standard Chinese characters denoting happiness, signifies the doubled joy of the newlywed couple.

Beautifully handcrafted by rose gold, silver and large round cultured freshwater pearls, then threaded through gold-filled wire and a simple sterling silver chain. The necklace is measured about 24 inches, with the pendants of 2 inches each sitting nicely right at the chest level.

Classic piece to go with a Chinese wedding gown, whether for yourself, a family member or a girl friend.

HK$ 1,100.00

Kindly be noted: Due to the high cost involved, I am happy to share the price breakdown with you - but I can tell here that my markup is less than 10%.

Mother's Day Special - Solar

"A mother's love is like the sun
Constant, always there
It's as warm and freely given
As a breath of soft, spring air..."

The Solar necklace - a combo of red and blue. Finely facet cut ruby pendant centerpiece surrounded by oval iolite and faceted silver beads; chain doubled by plenty of iolite in dark and light shades. Complexed and classy.

I've added much originality into it and intend to remain it exclusive for my loving mum.

To all great mothers out there.. I wish you all a happy and blessed Mother's Day!

Earth's Treasure - Turquoise

~The Earth's Treasure Series~
To be honest, the process of making this was tedious! if it wasn't my favourite gemstone here, I wouldn't have still enjoyed it. However, I do love the details - look at those dangles at two ends! This 60 inches long necklace is made of turquoise chips, facet cut black agate and sterling silver beads along the body;  two large turquoise rondelles, small black agate tails and silver beads as the joints.

Play with this versatile design for a  best fit with your daily outfit.

HK$ 400.00 (comes with a silver shortener upon request)

four-leaf clover

Coming across with an online beading tutorial last night, I was so tempted to give it a go rightaway. And I knew exactly for my BFF the four-leaf clover is to be made.
The original design was using green crystal glass beads, but I reckon she suits the earth-toned rutilated quartz better, of which each stone's unique. Hope she will like this simple-but-thoughtful piece and wish this little necklace will bring her good luck:

"According to legend, each leaflet represents something: the first is for hope, the second is for faith, the third is for love, and the fourth is for luck."

Side-dish
I just loveeeee this picture of my daughter so sooo much! I can't help my smile while watching it over and over again..
.. though eventually I'm still the only one who knows the price of having this taken.

Vintage Collar Piece

What comes first in the Year of Tiger is a vintage necklace inspired by Fenton. I badly adore its tangled mess of variant objects, textures, colours and shapes (although while actually making it, the 'tangled mess' did give me a good headache). Anyway, beads shopping for this was interesting - faux pearls and diamonds, two colour-clashing wooden beads, silver coins, copper chain.. never thought about putting these materials together in one single piece before. Twining was fun too.
My favourite creation so far; also my favourite piece in the wardrobe.

Let me know if you'd like me to make one for you - your choice of beads!

Toruk - feather chandelier necklace

Toruk, meaning "Last Shadow" - a species of airborne predatory animals native to Pandora. Scientifically, it is known as Leonopteryx rex - "flying king lion" from the greek words.

Obviously my latest design is inspired by the great movie Avatar. What a beautiful feathery statement necklace - an eye-catcher for sure! It brightens up your black outfit with itself getting even more outstanding.

Necklace chain measures 20" and the feather decadence is approximately 7.5" long.
