four-leaf clover

Coming across with an online beading tutorial last night, I was so tempted to give it a go rightaway. And I knew exactly for my BFF the four-leaf clover is to be made.
The original design was using green crystal glass beads, but I reckon she suits the earth-toned rutilated quartz better, of which each stone's unique. Hope she will like this simple-but-thoughtful piece and wish this little necklace will bring her good luck:

"According to legend, each leaflet represents something: the first is for hope, the second is for faith, the third is for love, and the fourth is for luck."

Side-dish
I just loveeeee this picture of my daughter so sooo much! I can't help my smile while watching it over and over again..
.. though eventually I'm still the only one who knows the price of having this taken.

Vintage Collar Piece

What comes first in the Year of Tiger is a vintage necklace inspired by Fenton. I badly adore its tangled mess of variant objects, textures, colours and shapes (although while actually making it, the 'tangled mess' did give me a good headache). Anyway, beads shopping for this was interesting - faux pearls and diamonds, two colour-clashing wooden beads, silver coins, copper chain.. never thought about putting these materials together in one single piece before. Twining was fun too.
My favourite creation so far; also my favourite piece in the wardrobe.

Let me know if you'd like me to make one for you - your choice of beads!
